Synopsis

The synopsis of the book They Fired the First Shot 2012, is that we have disorder in our economy, disorder in the family, disorder in the church and our institutions. Generally speaking, there is un-peace in the world.

 

A study of 65 civilization shows, that societies fell when they lose a moral standard. Government grows, freedom is lost, liberty is lost, and tyranny gains power; sometimes through anarchy, a proposed ‘savior’ like Hitler can come along, and we have many signs showing we are nearing a serious meltdown. The answer is for people to go back small communities, to self-governed villages. The keys to peace are living measured: Just because it’s not against the law doesn’t mean you can do it. There has to be a moral code.

 

The 3 great monotheistic religions believe in the Ten Commandments. Jews, Christians, Muslims, all subscribe to the same Ten Commandments

 

A non-believer 50 years ago knew it was to his advantage to accept the Ten Commandments as a moral code. Does he want his neighbor to not be mean to him? “Love thy neighbor.” Does he want his children to respect him? “Honor thy father and mother.” Does he want his spouse to keep fidelity? “Thou shall not commit adultery.” Does he want his car stolen? “Thou shall not steal.”
